Box of 5 folded cards and 5 envelopes 12x18 cm in Amalfi paper with the "Hug" print. The author of this graphic work is the German artist Kurt Craemer (1912-1961), an expressionist painter who lived in Positano in the 1940s. The drawing was made to illustrate the book The last days of Pompeii printed by the Bodoni workshop in Verona in 1956. The original title of the work is "The lovers of Pompeii". We recently bought the original work at auction in Germany, which was sold directly by an heir of the artist. All rights reserved.
