The drawing was made to illustrate the book The last days of Pompeii printed by the Bodoni workshop in Verona in 1956. The original title of the work is "The lovers of Pompeii". We recently bought the original work at auction in Germany, which was sold directly by an heir of the artist. All rights reserved.
