Ivory invitation 13,5x8,5 cm. with gold printing " The hug ". The author of this graphic work is the German artist Kurt Craemer (1912-1961), an expressionist painter who lived in Positano in the 1940s. The drawing was made to illustrate the book The last days of Pompeii printed by the Bodoni workshop in Verona in 1956. The original title of the work is "The lovers of Pompeii". It is printed on paper in relief with gold ink, following an ancient printing technique which is carried out completely by hand.
